3 Uplifting Perspectives For Your Next Mental Breakdown
Mental Breakdowns; NO ONE likes them, EVERYONE has them. Odds are your brain is telling you to chill the fuck out and get stable.
Mental breakdowns aren't necessarily a bad thing although it may be time to evaluate your life and the position you're currently in. Don't judge yourself even though that is easier said than done. Remember, you're going to be okay.
1. Take A Moment
When having a mental breakdown sometimes we just need a moment. Take a moment to breathe, have a tiny glass of wine, smoke some weed, sit outside, get fresh air, catch some Pokemon, listen to a podcast, play a video game. Whatever it is you do, choose something that will allow you to take some time for yourself.
2. Try Something New
After you find some time to breathe ask yourself, "If I could do anything and nothing could stop me, what would it be?" You should be thinking of something you haven't done yet. Yoga and meditation are great because you can do it by yourself or with others. Starting that blog you always wanted, starting the new book club, or planning a visit over seas has never been so set up for you then now. Your brain is literally telling you to get out of the past and be present.
3. Get Organized!
According to mindhealthconnect, mental breakdowns are a form of an anxiety disorder. NO, you're not broken. Probably a little bit of organization in your life will help you become present. Who doesn't love a clean space?
Conclusion: Don't get caught up in the actual experience of a mental breakdown, post mental breakdown. This is an opportunity for you to take control of your life and stop the spinning out of control into a beautiful life full of existence.
